Description

The Item AZ-HI02 Universal Head Immobilizer (head immobilizer) is an emergency patient-handling device designed to aid in immobilizing a patient’s head and neck. It is for professional use only, by a minimum of two trained operators.

The head immobilizer is constructed with of vinyl dipped foam for durable support and easy to clean.

The head immobilizer can be used with a Scoop stretcher or on a long (full-length) backboard which has either cervical device slots or a center hole at the head end.

Components

• A base plate to support the patient’s head and provide insulation and protection from the ground.

• Two lateral support pads that fasten to the base plate with hook-and-loop fastening strips.
• Two forehead/chin straps that hold the lateral support pads in position against the patient’s head and  facilitate application of the scoop.
